Your Role at Acousti

The Acoustical Ceiling Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating multiple site-based construction operations on commercial and government projects. This individual will play a key leadership role in ensuring project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols are consistently met, while also supporting recruitment and planning efforts with site managers.

In this role, you will contribute directly to the success of our company by ensuring effective execution of site work and acting as a liaison between teams and project leadership.


Responsibilities

In this role, you will:




  • Promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices, and address job site hazards



  • Direct and coordinate on-site production activities



  • Maintain construction schedules, including phasing plans



  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and employees



  • Plan, organize, and oversee construction or maintenance activities for structures and systems



  • Supervise employees and subcontractors on-site



  • Ensure timely submission of job reports and documentation



  • Maintain daily written and photographic documentation of site progress, safety issues, and inter-trade concerns



  • Interpret and understand project floor plans and construction drawings



  • Operate scaffolding, aerial lifts, ladders, stilts, powder-actuated tools, and laser levels



  • Work in both indoor and outdoor environments



  • Perform duties independently and collaboratively with the team



  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the manager




What We're Looking for in You

To succeed in this role, you should have:




  • 4 to 5 years of experience as a Foreman in commercial acoustical ceiling construction



  • Proficiency in layout, installation, and tools related to ceiling tile and grid systems



  • Experience in metal framing, drywall, FRP, finishing work, and acoustic ceilings



  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills



  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and perform under pressure



  • Solid understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and blueprint reading



  • Familiarity with software such as Bluebeam, PlanGrid, PDF Expert, and Dropbox



  • Willingness to travel or work outside home territory as needed



  • Tools and reliable transportation



  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand/walk for up to 8 hours per day



  • Ability to pass a drug test




Education Requirements

Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent
