Responsibilities
- Assist in the design of various projects nationwide;
- Establish and provide regular maintenance of design schedules;
- Design tasks to include creation of plans, wiring diagrams, schematics, equipment selection, load calculations, systems modeling and specifications;
- Work with senior level associates in various disciplines to coordinate and to execute each project;
- Lead and mentor team members as assigned;
- Attend project meetings including required travel for surveys and other tasks;
- Work closely with owners, contractors, architects and code authorities from project inception to completion to ensure project success;
- Perform analysis, calculations, design and documentation of electrical systems as required by project scope;
- Manage and perform construction administration responsibilities including submittals, RFIs, field reports, etc. as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering - minimum
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in electrical design and construction for commercial, industrial, data center, semi-conductor, institutional buildings and/or utility scale power;
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required;
- Experience and working knowledge of design and analysis software including REVIT, AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP and/or BIM System(s);
- Working knowledge of electrical engineering concepts, principles and practices;
- Familiarity with other engineering disciplines including mechanical and plumbing requirements as well as architecture;
- In depth knowledge of lighting and lighting control systems, grounding and lightning protection systems, and electrical power distribution system design and analysis;
- Ability to lead and mentor/manage team members for large project deliverables.;
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Maps and/or other imaging tools;
- Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, when dealing with clients, project managers, junior design staff, and executive management;
- Able to meet the badging requirements set forth by our clients.
