Summary

The Sr. Administrative Coordinator provides support for and coordinates departmental projects and facilitates information exchange between the Johns Hopkins Health System, School of Medicine and other departments, vendors, or outside agencies. This position performs administrative duties such as composing and editing complex correspondence and reports, develops office procedures to ensure efficient and timely operations and may provide advice/guidance to other administrative/clerical staff. The Senior Administrative Coordinator must report to a Director.




  • Performs a variety of clerical and administrative tasks to support office operations.
  • Prepares office documents, memoranda, and reports; distributes copies as directed.
  • Handles formal business communication and recurring reports; obtains necessary signatures.
  • Schedules and coordinates meetings and conferences; takes notes or minutes.
  • Manages departmental calendars and maintains organized files and records.
  • Welcomes visitors, answers calls, and collaborates with other departments.
  • Facilitates communication, sets up presentations, and supports department initiatives.
  • Coordinates department activities, schedules, and projects.
  • Manages vendor relationships and processes invoices.



Education: High school diploma.

Work Experience: Five (5) years of experience

Salary Range: Minimum $22.00/hour - Maximum $36.32/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
