Job Duties/Scope Of Work


At Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. CPCCo Workforce Resources is looking for a Human Resources (HR) Operations Manager with a wide latitude for independent judgment, manage and support all HR Operation activities and cross-functional relationships at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities typically include, but are not limited to:

* Manages department of exempt employees.

* Establishes performance expectations and timelines, may have responsibility for asset management, budgeting, and/or equipment

* Must have strong ethics, and the ability to maintain confidence, exercise sound judgement and discretion especially in dealing with sensitive, high risk and complex legal and HR issues and situations.

* Detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task, deal with ambiguity, and work collaboratively in a team environment, providing advice and counsel on general employee relations issues.

* Must have robust and effective time management and prioritization skills, managing teams to ensure that processes are handled in a fair, timely manner through oversight for properly assigned case management resolution.

* Review investigation/presentation summary for proficiency, analyzing data to provide and support recommendations with a plan of action for resolution.

* Partner with diverse stakeholders throughout the Company to mitigate risk and achieve high levels of compliance, accuracy, and quality in investigations, talent acquisition, reporting and resolution of issues.

* Interpret and administer applicable HR policies and procedures affecting exempt, non-exempt, and bargaining unit employees through knowledgeable, experienced HR practices, programs, and applicable state and federal laws, and Department of Energy (DOE) guidelines and regulations.

* Implement and lead with a philosophy of continuous improvement in the HR organization to enhance effectiveness, create efficiency, increase internal and external customer service, and reduce cost. Advocates for a balanced perspective and outcome.

* Collaborating with management to understand and execute the company's talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.

* Managing the talent acquisition process to include recruitment, interviewing, hiring and onboarding of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles.

* Provide clear and concise direction to the HR staff, with noted expectations of scheduled deliverables, working to remove obstacles, fostering effective working relationships. Identify opportunities for improvement, including constructive criticism, professional development, training, ongoing review of work products/deliverables, and opportunities to present and deliver information.


Basic Qualifications


* Manager Grade 21 - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience plus 10 years of relevant experience
* Manager Grade 22 - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience plus 12 years of relevant experience

The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.


Desired Qualifications


* Experience using HR PeopleSoft, or an Oracle based application.


Compensation & Benefits


In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.

Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):

* Grade 21: $142,038 - $179,113

* Grade 22: $159,363 - $209,688

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
