You'll lead in the planning, design, development, implementation, and execution of innovative application and platform solutions related to security, service delivery, OSS, and BSS systems. Drives identification and adoption of best-in-class operational practices and procedures across a multidimensional, high complexity back-office space for business-as-usual tasks, deployment, incident management, monitoring and detection, capacity planning, forecasting, resiliency, hardening, and DR/HA. Designs and establishes corporate operational playbooks, standard operating procedures, develops and implements platform enhancements and makes recommendations for improvements. Leads implementation of approved applications, infrastructure support architecture and designs, and security solutions. Leader in staff development efforts. - Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
- Design, deploy, manage, and ensure stability of the application and platform ecosystem and related back office infrastructure and data centers.
- Works with developers, testers, architects, engineers, and deployment teams to create software deployment plans and new technologies
- Demonstrate a high level of competence in IT operations, application monitoring, deployment and configuration management, availability and performance optimization, capacity management and forecasting, cloud computing, datacenter operations troubleshooting critical issues, and coordination of implementation.
- Writes and updates automated scripts for installation of server software products.
- Troubleshoot and resolve major database and system issues.
- Configures necessary hardware or virtual machines and operating environments as needed.
- Works with developers and hardware teams to update infrastructure and OS for applications.
- Performs production installations and upgrades of server software products.
- Works with developers and infrastructure teams to install or upgrade third party software.
- Monitors a system's performance, and reliability as well as the daily data processing.
- Document project requirements including scope, costs, schedule, testing and terms of delivery.
- Identify and resolve complex issues as part of a team.
- Assist and lead efforts for design, redesign, and operational efficiencies as business objective and strategies evolve.
- Test and validate all new designs, technologies, and software for proper configuration and performance.
- Mentors less experienced engineers.
- Participates in project-related stand-up meetings.
- Reviews and provides feedback for all external facing user documentation, including on-line help.
- Provides documentation support as necessary.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM Required Qualifications
- Experience:
- 5+ years of dynamic scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or Groovy
- 3+ years of deploying software such as Pexpect, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible
- 5+ years of Linux or other Unix systems
- Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or technical field or related work experience
- Skills:
- Extensive experience packaging and delivering software to a production environment.
- Well-versed in automating software deployments using tools (Puppet, Chef, Python, Ansible)
- Experience with software source control tools such as Perforce or GitHub
- Experience with Linux shell scripting environments such as bash
- Must possess demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Thorough understanding of the Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Demonstrated leader that can facilitate and build team consensus and interact with both the leadership and the implementation teams
- Abilities:
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Ability to write clear technical documentation for use by developers and testers
- Ability to work under limited direction and handle multiple assignments simultaneously

- This position is eligible to work in a hybrid work model (combination of in-office and remote days)
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of robust software development processes and software configuration management policies.
- Experience working with agile teams utilizing scrum or kanban.
- Experience creating and maintaining virtual machines using VMware or other VM technologies.
- Experience supporting HAProxy, InfluxDB, Grafana, ActiveMQ, Artemis.
- Experience with Docker / Kubernetes and designing / deploying container clusters.
- Experience with the Atlassian suite of products such as Jira and Confluence.
- Experience with PERL and Python programming.
- In-Depth knowledge of SQL(MySQL,MariaDB) and NoSQL(Cassandra,Influx) DBMS
- Knowledge of Kubernetes Management, Admin and Manifests
- Experience managing Helm deployments and editing Helm charts
- Experience managing and supporting Grafana, Kafka and Telegraf
- Ability to automate and troubleshoot system-wide changes and updates on large scale using native scripting languages (Python, Perl, BASH) and automation tools (Ansible, Chef)
- In-Depth knowledge of Server Operating Systems specifically Linux/Unix (RHEL, Rocky, Ubuntu)

The base pay for this position generally is between
$88,200.00 and $156,600.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
