Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Manager of Finance to support our Corrugated Division.This role will be a key contributor of the Corrugated Packaging Financial Planning & Analysis Team. This role is responsible for evaluating large capital investments and other strategic opportunities. The Manager reports to a Senior Manager of Analysis and will interact with business leaders and investors as you support the decision-making process.

Location: This position is located at the newly renovated GP HQ in downtown Atlanta, GA. We have a hybrid schedule of in-office and remote workdays with the expectation of being in the office more often than not.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Develop and maintain relationships with business leaders and enable sound economic decision-making.
  • Frame up investment opportunities, shepherd the decision-making process and present large investment requests to senior leadership and investors.
  • Development and review of long-term business strategies.
  • Critical thinking capability and framing problems to identify alternative solutions.
  • Develop a point of view and suggested paths forward.
  • Develop and maintain scorecards highlighting the performance on large capital ventures.
  • Review and challenge capital forecasts.
  • Coach others on economic thinking principles.
  • Provide ad-hoc support on other strategic opportunities.
  • Advance the Principles-Based Management (PBM) culture by applying and reinforcing the company's Guiding Principles.

Who You Are (Basic Requirements):

  • Progressive years of career experience in financial analysis, strategic planning, business development, business decision support, or related roles
  • Experience applying strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; including originating ideas, collecting data, establishing facts, performing analysis, drawing conclusions, and presenting a point of view to key stakeholders and business leaders
  • Ability to perform discounted cash flow modeling, NPV, IRR, ROI and other valuation metrics
  • Effective communicator, capable of presenting complex financial concepts to diverse audiences and engaging stakeholders; you are comfortable being seen and heard
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills (creating large decks, embedding/linking data and media, creating templates, graphic designs and crisp formatting)
  • Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, connecting to external data sources, charts/graphs, heatmapping, pivots)

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
  • Investment banking, consulting, or equity research experience
  • Manufacturing industry and/or Corrugated experience
  • Experience with data analysis/visualization tools beyond Microsoft Excel (i.e. Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, VBA, Hyperion, SQL, etc.)
  • Experience working with a large volume of data from multiple sources, performing analysis, developing a point of view and presenting to key stakeholders
