ROLE SUMMARY:
To continue our solid growth, we are seeking a talented and highly motivated Software Developer to join our growing organization. The individual should be self-motivated, creative, proactive, and able to work successfully in a fast-paced environment including multiple platforms, architectures, process technologies, and lab environments. The individual will work closely with hardware engineers, R&D researchers, product support engineers, scientists, and other stakeholders. The individual must command a strong understanding of C # and the Windows 10 operating system.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:


  • Design instrument code in C#
  • Provide SW solutions to improve the performance and reliability of complex optical, fluidic, electromechanical instruments
  • Develop software to control multiple instrument components, motors, and sensors as they perform advanced sample analysis
  • Develop software to acquire and analyze complex arrays of sample images
  • Utilize the feature/defect tracking system along with other SW team members, project managers, hardware engineers, and scientists to document project features, triage and troubleshoot defects, and prioritize activities
  • Participate in Quanterix software code and design reviews


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's Degree required in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Biological Engineering
  • 1-3 years of experience with object-oriented software C++, C#, .NET, React, Python and TypeScript


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Knowledge of real time operating systems (RTOS), or embedded systems, particularly Linux
  • Basic understanding and experience with React or Angular
  • Basic understanding and experience of Intel's MKL and image processing
  • Basic understanding and experience with the Swing library in Java
  • Basic understanding and experience with cloud-based software development
  • Knowledge of computation calculation
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge with firmware, and device
  • Basic understanding and experience in Jira management, or equivalent bug tracking tools
  • Strong understanding of fundamental software concepts, including the software development life cycle, concurrent programming, object-oriented programming, functional programming, database storage, data structures, server/client model
  • Basic understanding and experience in the Diagnostic/Biotech industry and knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11
