Responsibilities

We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Patient Service Representative (PSR) to join our cardiology clinic team. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for creating a welcoming environment, managing appointments, verifying insurance, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, multitasking abilities, and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
* Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
* Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments efficiently
* Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries or route them appropriately
* Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain authorizations when necessary
* Collect and process co-pays, deductibles, and other payments
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system
* Assist with check-in and check-out procedures
* Communicate with clinical staff to ensure coordinated patient care
* Handle confidential information with the highest level of integrity and discretion

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Previous experience in a medical setting, preferred.

2. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

3. High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

4. Customer Service experience preferred.
