Wildlife Camera Trapping Field Technician Requisition ID: 2025-9057 # of Openings: 2 Location: US-UT Category: Research (non-Faculty) Position Type: Non-benefited (hourly) Full-Time Job Classification: Non-Benefited College: Quinney College of Natural Resourcs Department: Wildland Resources Advertised Salary: $15-$18 depending on experience Overview The field technician will work with graduate student Richard Evans to implement a wildlife camera trapping study across the state of Utah. The position will run from mid-May to September with opportunity to extend as funding allows if the technician is interested in continued working. Work will be 29-40 hours per week and may adjust due to weather and holidays and other factors. Responsibilities The field technician will place camera traps on grids throughout Utah with supervision from Evans. They will upload resulting camera data and tag photos using image training software: WildlifeInsights. Qualifications Minimum:

Incumbents may be in both indoor and outdoor environments. Indoors, in an office space, event space or public space are protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes and may nearly continuously sit and often use repetitive hand motions such as typing. Outdoors, incumbents may not be protected from weather conditions and may be exposed to extreme hot and extreme cold. Bending, crawling and crouching may be required. Incumbents may be required to lift, push and/or pull pull objects up to 40 pounds and be required to walk and/or stand for long periods of time. University Highlights The S. J. & Jessie E.
