Per Diem Infusion Nurse (RN) - Medical Infusion Center - MGH

Under the direction of the Nursing Director, the Infusion RN is to provide clinical care with a primary focus on medical infusion.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides safe, efficient and compassionate patient care to all medical infusion patients
- Develop an ongoing implementation of therapy plan, education and counseling of patients and loved ones
- Practice according to ANA and INS standards of care
- Attends and participates in team meetings
- Documents relevant patient information and current plan in EMR
- Performs a nursing assessment and formulates an individual plan of care for assigned patients
- Prioritize and initiate specific nursing interventions based on ongoing assessment and update the care plan as needed
- Performs technical skills (i.e. VAD access, venipuncture) accurately, per policy - Participates and collaborates with nursing colleagues and other providers to deliver patient care in a timely manner

The per diem infusion RN can be scheduled for 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts depending on clinic needs, and is required to work at least 5 Saturday clinics in a calendar year.
