Purpose of Job:

Provides a supervisory function that ensures compliance with customer requirements and company policy. Supervises the activities in the Traffic Department to ensure a positive contribution to the success of the company.

Activities & Responsibilities:

* Routing and carrier selection for Plainfield D.C. outbound shipments to customers.
* Coordinates NSK cross dock operations.
* Works with customer service and manufacturing to coordinate requirement and expedite shipments.
* Coordinates import/export transportation activities and support to transportation supervisor (where applicable).
* Provides support as needed to the Trade Compliance Department.
* Ensures a safe working environment.
* Maintains and monitors for adherence to work instructions: ensures compliance to company procedures and policies.
* Ensures timely traffic department communication to all other departments.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Required:
* High School Diploma or Equivalent.
* 4-6 years of position-related experience.
* Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Preferred:
* Technical Diploma or Associates Degree
* 6-8 years of position-related experience.

Management Responsibilities:

This job has a primary responsibility and makes decisions required for managing the work of others.
