Software Engineer Intern

At our Irvine, CA office we are looking for a hands-on Software Engineer Intern to join our team. You will be involved in the development of cloud applications. Your duties will include understanding tthe software, writing production ready code and communicating with stakeholders.

How You'll Make An Impact:



  • Attend all scrum ceremonies
  • Develop software per assigned tasks in each sprint.
  • Translate user stories into application software.
  • Work with mentors and learn the software development life cycle.
  • Maintain coding standards.
  • Serve as a helping hand to the application teams.
  • Software Development: Learn software development the Bio-Rad way.
  • High Coding Standards: Implement best practices. Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Technical Ownership: Own the software development and ensure completion of assigned tasks.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with mentors and team members.
  • Presentation Skills: Present work progress 3 times during internship, with a final presentation on overall work done at the end of the internship.


What You Bring:



  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate (sophomore/junior) pursuing a 4-year bachelor's degree in computer science, preferred.
  • Experience in Python, Java or similar language.
  • Cloud experience preferred.
  • Experience with databases and SQL.


Compensation: The estimated hourly range for this position is $25.00 per hour at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. As a temporary associate, your employment will be managed directly through our approved agency provider.
