The Role
We're looking for a Fulfillment Supervisor to act an essential coordinator and motivator for our Fulfillment and Inventory Control teams in Ocala, FL. The ideal candidate for this job is a true people person who's always baking up ideas for improving teamwork and communication. In this role, you'll set goals, expectations, and performance standards for our entire Fulfillment and Inventory Control team in Ocala and help bring our performance level even higher. At GTI, we know that finishing up production is a joint effort, and as Fulfillment Supervisor you'll work closely with the Logistics Manager-that's dry/trim/cure/pack-to track inventory and coordinate procedures. Supervisory Responsibility: * Develop daily order fulfillment schedules to satisfy all sales orders. * Train and Develop Fulfillment employees to perform in a proficient manner, providing motivation through personal example and interpersonal skills. * Establish fulfillment goals, monitor/track employee performance, and provide regular 1x1 performance feedback to help the employee succeed. * Ensure employees are following all safety and operating procedures, and GTI policies. * Train, and develop a high-performing team. * Maintain compliance with all State laws/regulations that affect GTI operations and safety, while promoting safety policies and awareness. * Document and provide performance feedback to the Logistics Manager. * Identify outstanding employees that can take on more responsibilities. * Establish and oversee Inventory Control and Replenishment processes to ensure 100% accuracy on cycle counts and month-end reviews. * Establish a culture of continuous improvement * Oversee the scheduling, tracking, and distribution of incoming raw materials and packaging and all outbound product delivery appointments * Work closely with Sales Departments to meet objectives and address service-related issues * Monitor and maintain proper inventory levels by evaluating usage and communicating with Supply Chain team on a regular basis as well as manage physical inventory process * Plan and schedule maintenance of all Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and Delivery Vehicles * Ensure medical cannabis waste management procedures are followed such as receipt/collection, transportation, storage, labeling, compacting, grinding, etc. * Assist in completing medical cannabis waste profiles, manifests, and shipping documents, and maintain waste processing records * Conduct employee safety training, coordinates on-the-job training for newly hired or transferred employees, and holds monthly line meetings * Confer with Lead Persons, Production Supervisors, and Department Managers to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments * Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions * Serve on various continuous improvement committees as needed. Engage with direct reports to drive continuous improvement * Administer company policies in a fair and consistent manner * Inform Logistics Manager on processing and/or employee problems which may require their attention or knowledge * Understand and maintain compliance with all state laws and/or regulations that affect Green Thumb operations * Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP and HACCP guidelines, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect product safety, product quality or personnel safety * May make decisions and perform the job responsibilities of the Logistics Manager in their absence * Performs other duties as assigned Position Summary: This position is responsible for: * Working cooperatively with sales to receive orders. * Organizing employees to pull orders and validate 100% accuracy. * Work cooperatively with the Transportation Supervisor to assure alignment between Order Fulfillment and transportation. * Conducting weekly finished product inventory audits & reporting results to the Logistics Manager. * Ensure employees' success in regards to quality and productivity. Essential Functions: * Plan & Schedule each day to support sales and inventory requirements. * Train employees to: o Package all final products in accordance with GTI product specifications o Identify quality issues that negatively impact the final product. o Achieve production rates as defined by the Logistics Manager o Conduct essential BioTrack functions where applicable o Complete vault and flower inventories * Coach Employees through 1x1 feedback * Create an environment of trust and job satisfaction * Develop a high performing team. Additional Functions: * Employee must exhibit competency in basic organizational and communication skills. * Must work well with others and be able to adapt quickly to changes in policy, procedure and technique. * Be able to work with, help, guide, challenge and motivate team members in order to create a cohesive unit. Additional Requirements: * Illinois driver's license or State ID card * Must be a minimum of 21 years of age * Must pass any and all required background checks * Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry * Must be approved by the D.O.A. to receive an Agent badge Minimum Education and Experience: Supervisor Qualifications * 5+ years' experience in a production environment, 2+ years in supervisory capacity preferred * High school diploma or GED required; BS/BA preferred * Familiarity with OSHA standards and guidelines * Knowledgeable of Lean Manufacturing principles and processes (5S, TPM, etc.) * Exceptional computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word). Basic ERP experience is a plus * Excellent communication and leadership skills. * Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills * Able to train and motivate department personnel and supervise department personnel in a fair and consistent manner * Must be able to work overtime, weekends, or other shifts when required * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions * Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers/vendors or employees * Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals * Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists * Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form * Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks and problem solve effectively * Operate with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information * Strong detail-oriented and resourceful mindset * Must have a solid understanding of the Cannabis laws, rules and regulations and passion to further their * understanding and knowledge of the industry and the laws Working Conditions: * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. * Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focus. * PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance) AND must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with plants and products. |
