Director, Oncology Key Account Management (KAM) is responsible for leading and developing a high-performing Key Account Management team that are focused on developing and executing customer strategy across key corporate, provider group, and GPO accounts. This role will drive the overall strategy and execution for Incyte's key account management, ensuring optimal access and growth for our portfolio across priority accounts. This leader will foster collaborative partnerships, align cross-functional teams, and ensure the realization of strategic priorities with our most important customers, ultimately elevating the patient experience. Role can be either remote or home office. Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, coach, and develop a Key Account Management team to achieve business objectives and professional growth.
- Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and ensure accountability for performance and results.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Strategic Account Management
- Oversee the development and execution of customized account plans that deliver on Incyte's portfolio value proposition.
- Guide a Corporate Key Account Management focused team in leading strategic engagements with high-value national oncology customers, including Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), national Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), and other large-scale provider networks.
- Guide a Regional Key Account Management focused team in building sustainable collaborations with top regional oncology accounts, including NCI-designated centers, IDNs, GPO-affiliated groups, and regional cancer networks.
- Ensure strategies are mutually beneficial and focus on shared priorities and long-term value creation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead enterprise-wide collaboration and coordination across field stakeholders, including sales, medical, and market access teams.
- Identify and prioritize key issues to escalate to brand teams, making recommendations for alignment and deployment.
- Enroll sales leaders and other functions in strategy development and execution.
- Market & Business Insights
- Monitor and assess the changing market landscape, adapting Incyte's approach to customer engagement as needed.
- Leverage data and insights to inform strategic decisions and optimize account performance.
- Stay informed of major market changes and shifts, ensuring the team remains agile and responsive.
- Portfolio Growth & Access
- Drive portfolio growth through strategies designed to maintain or improve brand formulary access at key accounts (e.g., pathway/protocol development).
- Track KPIs and account performance metrics to evaluate impact and refine strategies, including contract strategies.
- Oversee the management of the KAM budget, ensuring strategic alignment, optimized investments, and project deliverables with strategic customers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
- Significant experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry including specific Oncology experience required.
- Significant experience in pharmaceutical market access, account management, or related field.
- Experience in GPO account management, including contract negotiation, and execution.
- In-depth knowledge of oncology within distribution, patient access and reimbursement, managed care/federal/state marketplace, and physician networks.
- Demonstrated track record of leading high-performing teams and executing complex customer experience roadmaps.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategies within the execution capability of the organization.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently (25%+).
- Remote/Field-based position, with a regular presence in company headquarters expected.
