Description
This senior level management position is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, including budgeting, timely financial filings & reporting, cash flow management, Accounting dept., and cash control. Establishes and maintains the organization's overall accounting systems, procedures, and policies. Presents findings and recommendations to executive management and ownership. Expectations: * Oversee and manage the Accounting Manager and AR & AP Supervisors. * Strategize with management to achieve their profit goals for all divisions. * Consistently demonstrate ample knowledge of all aspects and responsibilities of each section of business you oversee. * Primary responsibility for the planning, implementing, managing, and controlling of all financial-related activities for the company and advise senior management on all financial matters. * Partner with upper management on all operational and strategic issues as they arise; provide strategic recommendations to management based on financial analysis and projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/expense analysis. * Demonstrate commitment to the organization's mission, vision, and values. * Work with management to achieve an annual revenue growth. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: * Evaluate and communicate the organization's financial performance. * Participate in the development of financial business plans and programs. * Create and provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets and financial reports. * Provide management with advice on the financial implications of business activities. * Conduct contract review and financial comparative analysis of various lines of business. * Participate and provide feedback to owners on various business and tax related matters and provide investment oversight. * Evaluate managed departments structure and team plan for continual improvement, efficiency, and effectiveness. * Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization's operations. * Manage vendor relationships. * Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial information, including daily operating reports, capital reports, general ledger and income statements, forecasts, and budgets. * Act as the main point of contact for outside CPAs and perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities * Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization. * Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. * Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Education and/or Experience * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA, MBA, or CMA a plus * Minimum of 5 years progressive financial management experience * Full cycle accounting knowledge required * In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices * Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods * Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and financial management software * Ability to strategize and solve problems * Strong leadership and organizational skills * Excellent communication and people skills * An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required * Experience in budgeting and forecasting preferred * Knowledge of NetSuite and Paycom systems a plus * Ability to handle stressful situations in a professional manner Qualifications
