  • Location agnostic, but in a major metro area, along with the ability and desire to travel up to 25% to visit brokers and develop business is crucial.

Qualifications

  • 5 to 7+ years of environmental underwriting or brokering experience, with a knowledge of both environmental monoline and casualty products.
  • Deep knowledge of high-hazard risks, including construction, distressed premises, and industrial exposures. In-depth experience of working in an underwriting environment within a specialized/complex underwriting area.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proven track record of developing and underwriting profitable business.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in ISO coverage forms and industry-standard policy language, as well as standard monoline environmental products.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, price, and negotiate complex environmental risks.
  • Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or related fields a plus, as too are CPCU, RPLU, or other insurance designations.
  • Established relationships within the wholesale E&S distribution channel desired.

Why Join AmTrust E&S?
