Overview

Responsible for leading the reporting and analysis function of the group to help facilitate decision making for the business. The Senior Manager-Financial Planning & Analysis will lead weekly and monthly reporting functions with a focus on visibility to leadership of the financial results and cash position of the group. This position will actively engage with leaders to help identify trends and, accordingly, make recommendations for continued growth, process improvement, cost savings, and transformation.

Location and Travel:

This is a remote position, which can be based anywhere in the U.S. This position supports our business across the United States. This position does require 15% travel throughout the United States.

MasTec Renewables group is part of the MasTec Clean Energy & Infrastructure business segment. MasTec's Clean Energy and Infrastructure Group (CE&I) is a $4 billion annual revenue business unit that provides construction services for industrial facilities; building products manufacturers, power generation facilities, manufacturing plants; solar, wind, and thermal energy plants; buildings, and infrastructure.



Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

    Lead the reporting and analysis function of the Finance group
  • Help facilitate decision making for the business from data you analyze and present to leadership
  • Lead the weekly and monthly reporting function with a focus on visibility to leadership of the financial results and cash position of the group
  • Implement and maintain the reporting standards/controls in the existing reporting environment
  • Support quarterly operations review preparation, annual business plan creation, strategic plan model, and monthly forecasting processes
  • Improve and further develop our financial forecasting models and systems
  • Provide reports on an ad-hoc, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis by providing analysis of operations and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for engaged and impacted stakeholders.
  • Actively engage with leaders to help identify trends and, accordingly, make recommendations for continued growth, process improvements, cost savings, and transformation
  • Coordinate internal and external audits across MasTec Renewables
  • Maintain and update Sarbanes-Oxley (SoX) controls in coordinatization with the business, corporate team, and auditors
  • Collaborate with a team of financial, accounting, and project controls professionals across multiple entities.
  • Support the management team with ongoing integration and standardization efforts with MasTec and MasTec Renewables across accounting processes, systems, internal controls, etc.


Qualifications

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 10+ years' of experience in financial management, with large SEC filer
  • Experience in the construction or related industry using percentage of completion accounting preferred
  • Financial reporting, financial modeling and cash flow forecasting experience required
  • Experience in ERP implementations, entity integration and mergers preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience preparing and presenting documents and analysis to leadership
  • Ability to convey financial results to non-finance team members
  • Strong planning, analysis, and financial modeling skills
  • Knowledge regarding annual planning and forecasting
  • Ability to work across various areas of the business, including effective communication with people of different backgrounds and levels
  • Strong financial acumen with ability and desire to dig into details and challenge key inputs and assumptions and interpret financial data
  • Advanced Excel, Power BI, Hyperion, and Sharepoint user (super user a plus) and experience with large ERP accounting systems
  • Passionate about data quality
  • Team player/able to work well with colleagues at all levels of the organization
