Description Memorial Hospital \| Primary Care Full-Time, Day Shift Clerical/Administrative Support Req #: 30871 Summary: The Prior Authorization Specialist - MEM SH role verifies insurance eligibility, benefits, verification, prior authorization and researches denied services to ensure payments are processed on a timely basis. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) 1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. 2. License/Certifications: N/A 3. Experience: Medical Assistant, Patient Service Representative or medical billing experience required. 4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A 4. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Medical Terminology. Knowledge of Medical Insurance and concept of referrals/pre-authorizations.
