The targeted hiring range for this full-time position is $116,400 - $157,100 depending on qualifications; however, the expanded salary range provides opportunities for advancement. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and job location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, competencies, experience, and relevant education, training or a combination of these things and market demand. Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and creative Director of Internal Communications to lead the development and execution of internal communication strategies that inspire, engage, and inform employees across the organization. This role is key in shaping our company narrative, connecting our people to our business priorities, and reinforcing our culture through thoughtful and impactful communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the internal communications strategy, ensuring alignment with company objectives and culture.
  • Develop compelling messages and communication plans that bring business strategies to life for internal audiences.
  • Serve as a trusted partner and primary content creator for internal CEO communications, including written, recorded, and live formats for audiences such as the Board of Directors, shareholders, and employees.
  • Collaborate with key internal partners to deliver cohesive, consistent, and well-integrated communications across departments and channels.
  • Craft engaging content and campaigns that keep employees informed, connected, and energized around company goals.
  • Oversee production of internal communication materials in partnership with Administrative Services and media vendors.
Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of experience writing executive communications
  • Proven experience in stakeholder relations, corporate storytelling, shaping narratives
  • Strong track record of developing, managing, and executing integrated communications strategies and plans
  • 2+ years of strategy-related experience (preferred)
  • Experience working with a Board of Directors and Shareholders (preferred)
  • Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, Business or a related area is a plus

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of business operations and how it should influence the way a narrative is shaped
  • Strategic mindset with advanced writing, editing, proofreading, PowerPoint design skills
  • Impactful corporate storytelling with the ability to tailor messaging to multiple audiences
  • Effective multi-faceted communications planning and project management techniques
  • Ability to cultivate relationships and bring people together to accomplish a goal
  • Demonstrated ability to work with highly confidential material
