Here is what you will be doing each day:

As our Catering Coordinator, you'll be the go-to person for creating exceptional event experiences for our clients who are booking short term events, as well as supporting the entire sales and convention services team with anything related to groups and events. You'll meet and greet clients, conduct property tours, and tailor catering solutions to meet their needs. For short term bookings, you'll handle everything from negotiating prices to coordinating with culinary team, audio/visual department, and banquet staff. After the event is complete, you'll process payment for any balance due and award Bonvoy points. Building strong relationships with clients and meeting planners, you'll showcase our hotel facilities and services through property tours and site inspections.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



  • Book short-term events within the booking parameters, ensuring that sales progress seamlessly and accurately by following established process and procedures
  • Up-sell products and services, closing the best opportunities for the property based on market conditions and property needs
  • Gather and input all important customer data in order to plan appropriately (e.g. customer's goals, specific needs, key account info, etc.)
  • Create and detail banquet event orders with all items related to the event
  • Create and detail group resume to communicate event needs to all Hotel departments
  • Provide accurate, complete and effective communication to the Food & Beverage team
  • Confirm final billing accuracy prior to and then process the final bill
  • Coordinate BEO distribution packet and Group Resume packet to the Hotel departments
  • Conduct site tours with potential clients and groups already booked
  • Perform other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned



REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

If you are a team player, have hospitality or event experience, a desire to grow into sales or convention services, know your way around CI/TY, can deliver top-notch customer service in a timely manner and have at least 1-2 years of relevant experience, we want to hear from you! You'll need to be a quick learner in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills, and the ability to stay organized and multitask.
