Position Summary: The Junior Generalist, People is part of the JetBlue Travel Products (JTP) People team reporting to the Sr. Head of People. This individual will be actively engaged with the full crewmember lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, talent management, total rewards, compensation management, benefits administration, crew relations, crewmember engagement, and recognition. The Junior Generalist, People has a mix of soft and hard skills, being able to execute where needed on JTP People programs, while also connecting with the team and championing the company culture. The ideal candidate is able to support multiple People disciplines within the JTP subsidiary while also working cross functionally with the JetBlue People team. They are comfortable managing priorities and relationship building needed to support the organization. This individual embodies personal values that match JetBlue's values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun. Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver on hiring plans for both corporate and frontline roles, responsible for posting on the Recruiting Management System (RMS), screening resumes and candidates, scheduling meetings, completing interviews and facilitating the compliance/backgrounds process for new hires.
- Provide an engaging and productive onboarding process for new hires, liaising with matrix partners to ensure crewmembers have the proper equipment, accesses and tools needed to perform their job successfully from the start.
- Partner with internal and external People teams to continuously improve and create thoughtful People programs that support JTP.
- Serve as the first point of contact for crewmember relations matters to support fair, compliant, timely, and effective resolution of crewmember concerns.
- Communicate hiring updates to candidates, hiring managers and broader JTP team through multiple channels.
- Track and organize hiring data to support the recruitment process and to provide leadership updates as needed, utilizing a dashboard approach.
- Maintain understanding of JetBlue Total Rewards offerings to advise crewmembers and help liaise inquiries with the JetBlue Blue Benefits team.
- Present in and facilitate trainings for company orientation sessions.
- Stay up-to-date with the JetBlue Workplace Compliance team and complete I-9 forms for new hires and assist with visa processing, if necessary.
- Share ownership of JTP Fort Lauderdale Inspiration Center (FLIC) office environment, assisting with maintenance, improvements, business partner relationships, and event planning.
- Support the design and implementation of personnel policies and procedures and effectively communicates and employs these policies and procedures throughout the organization.
- Provide support in all areas of JTP administration, when necessary.
- Other complex projects and duties as assigned.
Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma.
- Two (2) years' HR/People experience.
- Knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Word.
- Ability to rapidly resolve issues and recognize when escalation is necessary.
- Strong relationship management, negotiation and resolution skills.
- Excellent problem solving and structured critical thinking skills.
- Flexibility, agility and change management skills.
- Experience creating and delivering presentations to leadership and cross-functional workgroups.
- Ability to tailor communication style to different audiences and to exercise good judgment in frequency and nature of communications to different parties (senior management, stakeholders, team members, etc.).
- Available for occasional overnight travel (10%).
- Must pass a ten (10) year background check.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.
- Authorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Previous experience in high-volume recruitment for frontline/support roles.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels and in diverse environments.
- Ability to manage risk.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.

- Regular attendance and punctuality.
- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice.
- Able to maintain a professional appearance.
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft.
