Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The mission of the college is to serve as a national model for transforming the health of rural underserved regions through excellence and innovation in nursing education, leadership, research, scholarship, and practice.
Job Duties
INTERNAL POSTING: Open to applicants currently employed by the College of Nursing at East Carolina University.

This position reports to the ANPE Department Chair. Duties include:
Assist with recruitment and retention of DNP faculty.
Oversight and review of the unit program's graduate curriculum.
Oversees recruitment and unit admission decisions in consultation with unit graduate faculty or graduate faculty committees, as may be specified by the unit code.
Administers the admission of applicants to the program and responds to routine requests for program information and applications.
Serves as liaison between the department, college, graduate school, and any other such agencies with which the graduate program comes into contact.
Schedules and oversees advising, qualifying examinations, and conflict resolutions involving graduate students.
Schedules and conducts graduate faculty and/or graduate committee meetings.
Responds to routine requests for program information and applications.
Maintains files for each graduate student.
Maintains database for all DNP program graduates
Assists the unit chair and works with (graduate) faculty/graduate committee in program review, program assessment, allocation of resources, curriculum development, student assessment, and graduate faculty rank/status.
Coordinates publication on the availability of graduate scholarships and the selection of awardees.
Reviews and signs official forms required by the Graduate School.
Ensures Degree Works audits are done periodically on each student.
Attends the Graduate School's meetings of the Graduate Program Directors and Coordinators.

This appointment is contingent upon the availability of funds.
Minimum Education/Experience
Doctorate in Nursing ( DNP) or PhD in Nursing, and 2 years of post-doctoral experience. Must be current faculty in the ECU College of Nursing.
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation
Active RN license and/or certification commensurate with specialty area.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
1 year of teaching in an academic setting as a post-doc.
License or Certification Required by the Department
