In Business Cards & Payments, our spender-oriented product and credit strategies rely on the expertise and partnership of our Spend Margin team to drive the core operations of the business. This role sits at the center of Business Cards and Payments and is the trusted thought partner in this space for leadership up through our EVP. It is a critical (and unique) credit function that sits at the intersection of horizontal and vertical economics. It is an amazing entry point into Business Cards and Payments and is the best place to learn the inner workings of spender economics. This experience will leave you with deep subject matter expertise that is critical for future product strategy, CLIP, Acquisitions, or Marketing roles across the enterprise. The team tackles this challenge across three verticals: The first vertical establishes and maintains a healthy Spend Margin infrastructure. In addition to running an asset-generating credit program, this team also stewards best practices for the usages of Spend Margin (and its components) throughout the business. Our second vertical is focused on network management and optimization. In this space, we work through identifying network suboptimalities,, representing the needs of BC&P in negotiations (in partnership with the CAM team), and at times running campaigns to swap customers across networks to optimize our vertical revenue contributions. The final vertical is focused on 'trimming the tails' of spend margin. This vertical is responsible for caring for customers whose transaction patterns result in substantial spend margin negativity by finding them a product that works for both their business and ours. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. Chicago, IL: $175,500 - $200,300 for Sr. Business Manager McLean, VA: $193,000 - $220,300 for Sr. Business Manager New York, NY: $210,500 - $240,300 for Sr. Business Manager Richmond, VA: $175,500 - $200,300 for Sr. Business ManagerCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
