About this unit

Our dedicatedcardiology electrophysiology (EP) labis part of a larger facility offering a comprehensive range of cardiac services, including research, diagnosis, and treatment of various heart conditions.The EP lab specificallyfocuses on diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders.There are four procedure rooms. Typical procedures include cardiac ablation, cardioversion, tilt table test and electronic devices.

Under the direction and in collaboration with the Nurse Manager, this Assistant Nurse Manager will lead a team of twenty-eight. Our ideal candidate will have a solid cardiac clinical background and evidence of leading a team in prior supervisory or charge experience.

Scope of work

Under the direction of the nurse manager or other nursing leader, the assistant nurse manager has responsibility for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the hospital and the nursing department and their effect on patient care in the department.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in nursing (ADN) Required.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or MSN Preferred.
  • 2 years of relevant clinical nursing experience (cardiac care) Required.
  • Participation in leadership activities (Unit, hospital, or system Shared Governance meetings, Precepting, or Charge nurse experience) Preferred.
  • MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required.
