The successful candidate will provide drafting services on various electrical engineering in the energy sector. This position will include, but may not be limited to, the following:

• preparation of plans, profiles, sections and detail drawings related to substation physical engineering work using AutoCAD

• gather data from existing drawings, rough sketches, surveys, and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.

• work closely with other Designer/Drafters and Engineers to ensure a coordinated design.

• operation of CADD workstations, plotters, printers, and other associated equipment to support the preparation of designs for engineering projects.

To be successful in this role you should have the ability to apply standard drafting/design principles and theories to complete assignments. You will also utilize project specifications, work plans, and drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Essential skills and attributes:

• Demonstrated proficiency in CAD drafting and the latest AutoCAD software.

• Applicants will be required to demonstrate skills in AutoCAD and other job-related activities at time of interview.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs

• Possess excellent analytical and math skills

• Have effective written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work well in teams and independently

The expected salary for this position is

MA: $70,000 - $85,000

NY:$68,000 - $84,000

NJ: $68,000 - $84,000

Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, and unique skills.
