Summary of Position Functions
The Performance Assurance Analyst is responsible for collecting, reviewing, and inputting energy data and Renewable Energy Credits (SRECs) information into analysis programs or spreadsheets for further review and reporting. The role involves understanding utility bill structures and rates, performing data audits, and assisting customers with energy-related queries. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and proficient with spreadsheet software, demonstrating initiative in navigating utility websites and interpreting energy data.
Essential Position Functions
- Review and analyze customer utility bills to ensure accuracy and identify potential energy-saving opportunities.
- Input utility data and SREC information into spreadsheets or designated analysis programs.
- Understand and assess customer utility rates, identifying the most beneficial energy saving options.
- Audit solar renewable energy credits (SRECs) for installed systems to ensure compliance and accurate tracking.
- Ensure data integrity by regularly reviewing information for accuracy.
- Respond to inquiries from customers related to energy data, utility rates, and SREC tracking.
- Ability to contact external and internal stakeholders via phone, email, and other communication protocols.
- Must be comfortable with making phone calls to obtain, or provide, information from customers and providers.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with one to three years' related experience and/or training.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of Veregy's services and processes is required which can be obtained through intellect, technical inclination, and dedication to gain such knowledge.
- Computer software proficiency including Microsoft Suite of Programs and / or other job-related hardware and software applications that may be required.
- Ability to learn and manipulate new software programs to achieve desired goals.
- Ability to understand complex utility bill structures with minimal instruction.
- Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills to research and navigate utility websites for information.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time / workload.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, business, professional, and technical documents.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to perform equipment audits in schools and municipal buildings.
- Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed.
