Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position $50,000 - $55,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. About the Role:

Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To:



  • The Security Support Technician shall assist with security activities, in support of reconstruction projects. This includes the following Tyndall Visitor's Control Center (VCC) activities:

    • Provide a wide range of support to the Security Forces Squadron staff at the Tyndall Visitor's Control Center (VCC) and the Commercial Vehicle entry gate.
    • Perform security background checks, using FCIC/NCIC terminals (Florida/National Criminal Investigation Console).
    • Perform security background checks for base visitor passes, contractor badges, recreational badges, military affairs committee badges, and agent/commander letter badges.
    • Performs local files checks through FCIC/NCIC on all extended visitor passes, contractor badges and special functions
    • Verify entry credentials for authenticity.
    • Validate entry requirements, base visit requests and contractors for a large number of construction contractor personnel, supporting the Tyndall AFB rebuild effort.
    • Responsible for issuing and maintaining Tyndall's restricted area badges to include annual and periodic inventory.
    • File and maintain visitor and event Entry Authorization Lists (EALs).
    • Maintain the Contractor Entry Authorization List.
    • Enters and updates data on the Base Barment Roster.
    • Manages Defense Biometrics Identification System (DBIDS); ensures 100% registration of all personnel


  • Building Custodian for setting up FCIC/NCIC station along with setting up additional NPIR Access to DBIDS Stations
  • Alternate work schedules may be required, with prior government approval
  • Work on this contract may require that personnel have access to Privacy Information. All personnel shall adhere to the Privacy Act of 1974, Title 5 of the United States Code, Section 552a and applicable agency rules and regulations.
  • Assist with proposal development, if necessary.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.


Experience Requirements:



  • 3+ years of experience required


Other Required Skills & Abilities:



  • Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Sawdey Solution Services to staff it only with U.S. Citizens.
