Job Details All functions related to billing and coding of procedures and services for Jefferson at the Navy Yard, Multi-Specialty Practice as well as assisting with needed reports and other duties assigned by the Administrator and Practice ManagerThe position includes, but is not limited to the following essential functions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Please list the fundamental job duties of the position (approx 3-5). *Review / Code Outpatient and Inpatient services for Multi-Specialty Office as well as Charge Entry of these services. Maintaining goal target of 3-5 days lag time of charge entry. *Work daily, weekly and Practice Work File Edits and complete Charge Corrections as needed *Develop and Implement procedures to streamline billing process and improve on efficiency of process *Work with A/R assigned Reps to ensure timely filing and payment of charges. *Work with patients to collect patient balances as needed. *Attend monthly Compliance Meeting and seminars / conferences to ensure knowledge is up-to-date on all billing / coding changes and additions *Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.
