Position Overview The TRIO Upward Bound (UB) Summer 2025 Instructor position is for an educator to teach a supplemental course(s) in our six-week summer college preparatory program, which serves high school students from Minneapolis Public Schools. The instructor will be responsible for updating or designing curriculum and delivering interactive lessons in core subjects such as English or Math, or an elective of their expertise, while fostering a positive and supportive learning atmosphere. Each instructor can teach up to two classes during the summer program. Classes are held Monday through Friday for 80 minutes in person. English and Math classes run from 9:00-10:20 and 10:25-11:45, while elective courses are scheduled from 1:00-2:20 and 2:25-3:45. The instructor must be available for training and preparation with the TA during the week of June 9-June 13, for the program itself from June 16 to July 18, as well as the following week, if needed. Pay Range: The salary range for this position is $23/hr-$28/hr. Final salary offers are dependent on the candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity within the department.
