Automation & Robot Welding Service Lead Tech Location: Houston, TX ,, Burr Ridge, IL,, Michigan, Tonawanda, NY or Phoenix, AZ Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking an Automation & Robot Welding Service Lead Tech to join our team! The Automation Robot Welding Service Lead Tech will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, application programming and repair of robotic systems. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring optimal performance of robotic equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding , robotics, automation, and technical support. What we offer you! * Competitive compensation * Comprehensive benefits plan (medical, dental, vision and more) * 401(k) retirement savings plan * Paid time off (vacation, holidays, PTO) * Employee discount programs * Career growth opportunities What you will be doing: * Install, configure, and train on robotic / cobot systems and automation equipment. * Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance of robotic systems. * Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues in robotic systems. * Provide technical support and training to clients on the operation and maintenance of robotic equipment. * Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to resolve complex issues and improve system performance. * Maintain accurate records of service activities, including maintenance logs and repair reports. * Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols during all service activities. * Stay updated on the latest advancements in robotic technology and industry best practices. * Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs Qualifications
What makes you great: * Associate's degree or higher in Robotics, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. * Proven experience in servicing and maintaining robotic systems and automation equipment. * Strong technical knowledge of robotics, automation, and control systems. * Aptitude in welding processes such as GMAW, GTAW, and Plasma Cutting * Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. * Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Willingness to travel to client sites as needed. * Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting robotic systems. * Knowledge of programming robot manufacture platforms commonly used in robotic and cobots such as Fanuc, Panasonic, UR, etc.. * Familiarity with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems. * Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of electrical systems. * Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
