Safety Manager Position

General Position Summary / Job Scope:To provide safety leadership and guidance in the implementation of the Kroeschell's risk management and safety goals and objectives; to plan, train, implement and supervise the corporate safety program, or employees and ensure compliance with the company safety philosophy, culture and policies.

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities including by not limited to:

• Ensures full compliance of risk management and safety plans,
• Controls hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee practices through site visits, safety plans, training and education of all personnel,
• Reviews documentation to insure all required onsite records and reports are complete, accurate and submitted per established procedures,
• Reinforces safety awareness in a manner that promotes cooperation and improved morale and creates a working atmosphere that promotes openness and a high level of enthusiasm and morale in the field,
• Conducts and assists in all incident investigations,
• Provides job safety orientation to all new employees and ongoing topic specific safety training as required.

• 20% traveling required.

Education and Experience (required):

• Relevant bachelor's degree or higher.
• Preferred / not required: five years construction and / or industrial safety experience
