The Line Cook will participate in the preparation, presentation, and execution of menu orders for a high volume three meal hotel restaurant Coastal Kitchen and Bar and In-Room Dining. From time to time, this role may also participate in preparation of Banquet event menu items. Duties associated with this role including following food safety guidelines, guiding & training other cooks in their section in preparing, cooking, and presenting culinary dishes; enforcing strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen; monitoring required food product and line product inventory. This position will report to the hotel Executive Chef and Sous Chef to achieve departmental goals and support Culinary team members as needed. Candidate must be high energy, organized, professional and comfortable working in fast paced and high volume environment.

Key job requirements and duties:



  • Minimum of 2 years of culinary experience within a full-service hotel property or full-service restaurant environment experience required
  • Ability to property use kitchen tools & equipment and follow recipes properly and in a timely manner
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner and supervise other line cooks to execute menu orders and oversee product quality and production
  • Ability to work from 3pm until 10pm Sunday-Thursday and 2:30pm until 11pm on Fridays/Saturdays is required
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food ingredients
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist, operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers, set-up and complete closing checklist for restaurant line area.
