LECTURER Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science University of Illinois at Chicago The Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science at UIC expects openings at full and/or part-time Lecturer positions available Fall 2025. Each position is responsible for teaching general mathematics, computer programming, statistics, and/or mathematics education courses, advising and assisting students, and supervising teaching assistants, as needed. Qualifications include experience teaching mathematics, computer programming, statistics, and/or mathematics education at the university or college level, and a Master's Degree or doctoral degree in mathematics or a related discipline. Applicants should be qualified to teach a range of undergraduate courses in math, statistics, computer science, and/or mathematics education. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with and/or a commitment to innovative student-centered teaching methods, such as active learning. Preference will also be given to candidates with experience that matches the Department's teaching needs that include, in particular, statistics and computer programming. These appointments would be for a single semester or entire academic year, ranging from 33% to 100%. The standard teaching load for a 100% appointment is 6 courses per year (3 per semester). These are faculty appointments but not tenure-track. The previously determined salary range for this position was $60,000 to $65,000, and final authorization of the positions is subject to the availability of funding.
