Quality Assurance Lab Technician/ Blending
Hours: 9:30 pm- 6:00 a up to 30 hours Days: Varies Location: Watertown, WI Position: Bracket 2 - Quality Assurance Technician/Blender Blending Duties Reports to: Quality Assurance Lead Quality Assurance Manager Operations Manager Shift Supervisor JOB SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Quality Assurance Lead, Quality Assurance Supervisor and Quality Assurance Manager, the person follows established approved procedures to sort and mix product, do regular line checks and product testing, product changeovers and sanitation to ensure we produce a safe and legal product. . JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Note: The job duties relate to the job, not the individual.) * Sanitize tanks and equipment to ensure company food quality and food safety standards are maintained. * Locate necessary ingredients in inventory and transport to syrup room for mixing. Blend syrup ingredients according to established standards and procedures. * Utilize laboratory test equipment and apparatus to perform product quality tests on control drinks and finished product, inspect raw material, and to perform bacteriology, CO2 and HPLC testing * Perform production line set-up and monitor the process; Troubleshoot and record problems * Maintain records and logs of procedures, results and problems. Make adjustments as needed. * Unload sweetener truck. Using a forklift, move material to proper location in inventory. * Backwash the water treating system and monitor the RO system * Periodically perform inventory checks and sort concentrates and syrups. * Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures * Comply with all personal safety, food safety, good manufacturing procedures (GMP) and sanitation regulations. * Perform preventative maintenance work and minor repairs as needed. . * Other duties as assigned.
