Senior Systems Engineer III

Axway, Inc. seeks Senior Systems Engineer III (Scottsdale, AZ)

Job Description: Perform day-to-day technical operational activities including implementing software changes, resolving incidents, managing configurations, and administering tools for Axway's Managed Cloud in Production and Non-Production platforms (built on AWS, Linux, and Azure). Monitor performance of cloud based Axway application deployments, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, and making necessary changes to optimize system performance. Ensure cloud-based systems and infrastructure meets security and compliance requirements. Work with peers across R&D, Cloud Engineering, and other Operations teams on joint initiatives. Work with Customer and other Axway teams on technical architecture, implementation, escalations, and improvements. Develops probes for monitoring tools and work on its resolution. Facilitate setup of centralized Axway Configuration and go forwarding over to customer SIEM. Perform Capacity Planning on customer environment on Managed Cloud and provide recommendations for improving availability and cost optimization. Responsible for lifecycle of all requests and incidents that arise, driving for root cause of problems to prevent incidents from recurring. Participate in support and implementation activities as required.

Position allows for partial remote work. Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Scottsdale, AZ.

Job Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related and 3 years of related experience, which must include some experience in each of the following skills: Deploy Infrastructure using AWS Cloud Services using EC2, VPC, WAF, Route53, AWS Backup, S3, Certificate Management, EBS, and DRBD; Cluster and disaster recovery management; Configuration management with Puppet, Ansible or similar tools; Kubernetes Container Orchestration and lifecycle management; GitOps for deploying Cloud Infrastructure and source code management; Infrastructure Monitoring with Icinga, Prometheus, Grafana or similar tools and infrastructure capacity planning; and Administration and management for Cloud hybrid connectivity.
