Axway, Inc. seeks Principal Software Architect I (Scottsdale, AZ)

Job Description: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Responsible for designing repeatable delivery process and implementing frameworks that enable products to flow quickly and safely to production with user feedback loop capability. Fully automate the build, deployment, QA, and operational processes. Develop automation and other solutions that improve and streamline Cloud operational processes. Provide technical support in the CI/CD domains using Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Docker, AWS, and Kubernetes. Provide development and operational support to R&D and Cloud Services organizations where the CI, CD, and Management services are deployed on Docker containers and AWS EC2 and Azure VM instances. Evaluate, build, and deploy solutions for cluster management, such as ClusterAPI and Kubernetes Operators. Responsible for maintenance and upgrade of existing deployments using automation solutions for releases management.

Position allows for partial remote work. Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Scottsdale, AZ.

Job Requirements: Requires Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or related field and 3 years of related experience, which must include some experience in each of the following skills: Designing and architecting secure and scalable automation solutions on multiple cloud environments using Ansible and Terraform; B2Bi, MFT, and APIM; Build pipelines for integration and deployment of infrastructure and application using Jenkins and Gitlab-CI; Architecture and deployment of applications on Kubernetes platforms, EKS, and AKS to ensure optimal performance and scalability; Write and use Kubernetes operators to manage applications and their components; Design, architect, and deploy cloud native applications on AWS and Azure; and Design the automation of scheduling automation tasks and example O/S patching using Ansible Tower/AWX for large scale systems.
