Disaster Recovery Project Manager - FEMA Public Assistance

Hill International is seeking a Disaster Recovery Project Manager - FEMA Public Assistance in Los Angeles, California

Lead and manage complex disaster recovery initiatives with a focus on FEMA Public Assistance Permanent Work (Categories C-G). This position requires both strategic oversight and operational execution.

• Serve as a senior-level advisor and subject matter expert in FEMA PA program implementation, policy interpretation, and funding strategy.
• Manage large-scale recovery efforts, coordinating across disciplines such as infrastructure restoration, housing, economic revitalization, and social services.
• Oversee cross-functional teams, assign responsibilities, track performance, and ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Develop strategic approaches to maximize FEMA PA funding opportunities and integrate multiple funding streams for comprehensive recovery.
• Apply project management best practices to ensure quality deliverables, transparency, and continuous communication with stakeholders.
• Act as the central point of contact for clients, providing technical leadership and policy guidance as issues arise.
• Maintain detailed tracking and reporting systems, and support adaptive planning in response to evolving recovery needs.

The salary range for this position is $60,000-$103,000. The offered salary will be based on the applicants qualifications, education, experience and work location.
