Receiving Associate

Position Summary: The Receiving Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient receipt, inspection, and storage of inventory to support the manufacturing process. This position involves a combination of manual and automated tasks, including receiving shipments, verifying inventory, and maintaining accurate documentation. The Receiving Associate also oversees day-to-day receiving functions and provides direction to ensure proper identification and storage of inventory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming shipments, including deliveries from FedEx, UPS, and other carriers.
  • Accurately document shipment details, including quantity, model number, serial number, and decontamination status of devices and instrumentation.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Quality teams to reconcile discrepancies before recording inventory in the system.
  • Physically and digitally process goods into inventory, ensuring proper identification and storage.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support inventory management by organizing, staging, and transporting goods as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet operational needs.

Qualifications & Skills: To excel in this role, an individual must demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory tracking.
  • Ability to follow ISO-certified quality management system processes and adhere to company quality policies.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, inventory management software, and digital record-keeping.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up abilities with the capacity to multitask.

Physical Demands: The physical requirements of this role include:

  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and hand manipulation (keyboarding).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and regularly lift 30 pounds.
  • Regularly push/pull carts exceeding 100 pounds.
  • Extended periods of standing, bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Adherence to Universal Precautions to minimize exposure to potentially infectious materials.
