Discover the most interesting industry you've never heard of! Position Overview Responsible for retail branch performance in accordance with company policy and procedures. Creates and executes the branch business plan. Ensures store profitability and manages and develops branch personnel. Plans, implements, and manages areas of responsibility to facilitate continuous improvement and personal growth while supporting company goals, missions, and vision. - Works with other team members, consultants, key customers, and key suppliers to solve specific challenges and leverage growth opportunities
- Directs and coordinates counter, customer service, and outside sales (if applicable) efforts
- Assists in account development. Direct sales program to develop new markets
- Coordinates counter maintenance, merchandising and promotional activity
- Continuously updates product knowledge. Stays informed and educated as to product inventory and applicability. Understands product applications and helps to ensure that employees are trained to assist customers appropriately
- Directs and coordinates warehouse efforts for receiving and shipments to customers and branches
- Directs and coordinates security and loss prevention team
- Creates a culture and a team that works together to meet customer needs and achieve desired results through management decisions, communication, and behavior
- Anticipates staffing requirements to meet operational needs
- Hiring, training, and employee retention
- Helps manage budget by controlling expenses and overtime
- Helps Branches and confirms that they are running, reviewing, and updating "Big 4" reports
- Helps identify and correct Operational, Security, and Storage risks
- Helps set and achieve company goals and policies
- Helps Branches get the tools needed to carry out and meet Distribution, Procedure, and Sales target goals
- Supports Branch Managers
- Approves and submits expense reports and timecards
- Travel may be required
Requirements
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluating customer satisfaction
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
- Understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Ability to effectively manage one's own time and the time of others
- Ability to demonstrate teamwork, leadership and flexibility
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in inside sales
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory and department/site P&L experience
- High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
