Essential Duties and Responsibilities The Meeting Production Specialist is rounded and experienced in commercial audiovisual systems with the ability to excel under limited supervision. The Meeting Production Specialist has a deep command of conference room AV systems and various, virtual collaboration platforms, accompanied by a real-world understanding of the challenges our customers experience in a hybrid meeting environment. This ideal candidate possesses advanced hardware and software troubleshooting skills with a concierge level of customer service. They are well versed in all aspects of government-based, virtual webinar coordination with the ability to schedule and effectively communicate a clear plan, leading to a successful event. This Specialist must be able to lead projects and small teams of 1-3 technicians ensuring projects are completed timely and accurately.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to offer unique and practical solutions to clients' needs while demonstrating the ability to adapt and present suitable alternatives.
- Expert in virtual meeting technology including webinar with advanced troubleshooting skills and the ability to work with poise in a high-paced government environment.
- Stay up to date with the latest changes in core functionality and tools.
- Deep understanding of various physical in-room conference systems including troubleshooting AV racks, teleconference-VTC codecs, Creston/AMX, and related touch panel systems.
- As a Meeting Production Specialist you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining audiovisual equipment for various events and presentations.
- Create, coordinate, and maintain deadlines from pre-meeting through post-production responsibilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Technical Field with 3+ years of relevant experience, or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Certified Technical Specialist (CTS) certification is a plus.
- Must understand AV conference room system operation and signal flow.
Skills and Competencies
- Experience working in a government environment preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a desk or workstation.
- Prolonged use of a computer and keyboard, including typing and using a mouse.
- Ability to handle light lifting (up to 20-30 lbs), including office supplies, files, or small equipment.
- Frequent use of manual dexterity for tasks such as writing, filing, and operating office equipment (printers, scanners, etc.).
- Ability to walk or stand occasionally to attend meetings, interact with colleagues, or move around the office.
- Clear vision (with or without corrective lenses) for reading documents, viewing computer screens, and performing detailed tasks.
- Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail throughout a full workday.
- Repetitive motions associated with tasks such as typing, using a mouse, and answering phones.
- Ability to bend or stoop to retrieve files or office supplies from cabinets or storage areas.
- Occasional standing, reaching, or walking to attend meetings or use office equipment in different areas of the office.
