Post Closing & Insuring Supervisor

What you'll do:

The Post-Closing Team Supervisor has a pivotal role in helping the Post Closing/Government Insurance department reach its goal, growth and quality objectives.
  • Assist with the monitoring, mentorship, training and development of the post-closing and insuring team.
  • Assist Post-Closers in obtaining missing information, preparing files, and reviewing loan documents for compliance, completeness and accuracy.
  • Monitor the government insuring pipeline to ensure SLAs are met
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for all questions from the Post-closing Team and internal and external customers.
  • Monitor and assist with closing team's daily functions
  • Meet regularly with Management to review Post Closing and Government insuring status
  • Complete tasks as requested by the department manager
  • Post-closing/Insuring processes you will assist with and oversee:
  • Create collateral file from closing document package and scan copy into Encompass eFolder
  • Place collateral file in fireproof safe and add it to the collateral tracking log
  • Assist with creating the daily Collateral Manifest for funded loans and sending to Deutsche Bank
  • MERS register newly funded loans
  • Assist funders with Auto Assign function of closing documents in Encompass eFolder
  • Input Security Instrument recording information in Encompass
  • Follow up on Trailing Loan Documents
  • Assist Corporate with obtaining any Title Policy/document corrections or questions
  • Work with Closing attorney/Title Company to obtain documents to clear file for purchase
  • Payment of FHA, VA, USDA and PMI fees
  • Monitor FHA Connection daily for completion of UFMIP payment and uploading remittance and payment history to Encompass eFolder
  • Prepare, audit and submit FHA case binders to appropriate HOC office
  • Perform Pre-endorsement review of binder
  • Scan and upload copy of binder to Encompass eFolder
  • Monitor FHA Connection daily for endorsing of FHA case number or any Notice of Returns
  • If NOR is received work on resolution so upon receipt of binder from FHA it can be updated and resubmitted.
  • If endorsed, upload MIC to Encompass eFolder
  • Maintain master FHA insuring spreadsheet for internal and Corporate reporting
  • Monitor FHA Connection LRS (Lender Reporting System) weekly for any deficiency notifications and Response Requests
  • Report any Response Requests to your Manager
  • Follow up with Manager to confirm response provided to HUD by a required date

What you'll need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years Government Insuring experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum 2 years residential mortgage lending experience with broad knowledge of lending regulations and analysis practices
  • Minimum 1 year compliance or quality control experience preferred
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of HMDA, TRID, ECOA, FCRA FHA
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes and perform in a fast-paced environment
Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $84,000.00 - $100,000.00 for Irvine, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned.
