Dover Precision Components is hiring a Projects Controller to support ourWaukesha Bearings' Government Contractsbusiness. This role can be based at one of our Houston locations- The Woodlands or Pearland- with frequent travel (up to 25%) to our manufacturing site in Antigo, Wisconsin. This role can also be based onsite at our Antigo, Wisconsin plant. We offer a hybrid-remote schedule with 3 days a week onsite and 2 days remote if you'd like. This role supports US Government contracts and US Citizenship is required. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage Accounting and Finance reporting and analysis of government projects for Magnetic Bearings business and Department of Energy projects, including revenue recognition and balance sheet reconciliations in line with ASC 606 and Dover accounting policies and procedures.
- Oversee A/P, A/R, and General/JE accounting service provided by internal shared service center.
- Coordinate with project teams to evaluate and design billing structures for contracts.
- Monitor project performance against billing milestones for fixed-priced contracts.
- Analyze financial performance for each program and present findings and recommendations to senior management, including monthly forecasting and variance analysis.
- Provide detailed analysis utilizing transactional data from ERP system to support account reconciliations.
- Continuously review and update CASB Disclosure Statement, recommending updates to executive management and developing implementation plans for any required changes.
- Assist Proposal Managers in developing and negotiating pricing on US Government contracts and subcontracts.
- Support government contract accounting submissions, including Incurred Cost Submissions, Provisional Indirect Rate Proposals, etc.
- Collaborate with Operations and Project Managers to develop and maintain contract pricing methodologies.
- Work cross functionally with Operations and Program managers to drive business performance and compliance.
- Collaborate with Sr. Finance Business Partner and Controllership to align financial and accounting objectives.
- Prepare Annual Operating Plan inputs for business.
- Ensure internal controls are followed according to Dover standards.
- Perform financial analysis and special projects on an as needed basis to support the business.
- Travel to our Antigo, WI manufacturing site, up to 25% if based in Houston.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or related field required.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting with related government contracts' experience to include account reconciliations, project controls, and finance roles within manufacturing or audit/ consulting environment.
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) for Government Contracts.
- Knowledge of Certified Cost or Pricing Data and Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) thresholds and related requirements
- Knowledge of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and related regulations surrounding the handling of such information.
- Experience in financial statements, Annual Operating Plan, and forecasting.
- Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Advanced skillset in Microsoft Excel. Proficient with Word and Power Point.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Revenue Recognition over time contracts (ASC- 606).
- Able to travel up to 25% if based in Houston.
- Must be a US Citizen.

- Experience with government, progressive billing.
- Strong ERP system experience such as Syteline.
- Familiar with FAR/DFAR regulations.
