Implementation Science (PopQuIS)
The Department of Pediatrics, Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Rutgers Biomedical and
Health Sciences is seeking a qualified candidate for an RBHS instructor position in the Division of Population Health, Quality, and Implementation Science (PopQuIS). The position requires a doctoral degree in public or population health or related, and expertise in child health research or maternal child health research is a plus. We expect that the successful candidate has completed or is in the final stages of completing a federally funded T32 award. The successful candidate views themselves as a child health or child mental health services researcher, health policy researchers, population health researchers, health equity researchers, and/or implementation scientists, and is familiar and has interest with the Future of Families study and its data. Needs to have at least 2 years of career development funding from either a federal government agency or philanthropic organization. Capacity to work collaboratively is essential, and skills in patient/family and/or community engagement is a plus. Strong methodological skills are preferred. Other topic areas of interest are the health and well-being of children with the potential additional focus on equity, social justice, social determinants of health, and environmental and other systematic predictors of health and health care, including factors related to resilience and deprivation. Ideal Candidate will have:
. A doctoral degree in public health, social science, or other related field.
* Mentored research training, including a federal T32 award, intended to prepare the candidate for further career development or research independence.
* At least 2 years of current career development funding from either a federal government agency or philanthropic organization.
* Successful candidate will demonstrate substantial contribution to a strong track record of peer-reviewed journal articles including child health services research. * Capacity to analyze secondary data for publication.
* Topic areas of focus should be regarding the health of the whole child, maternal child health, child mental health and wellbeing, and/or environmental, or community/population health related to children.
* Knowledge and/or research focus on the Future of Families and its data is preferred. * Evidence of extraordinary achievements or non-traditional career paths will be considered as appropriate.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* A hunger to engage with colleagues, families, and/or communities in pursuit of better health and social justice for children, families, and communities.
