Job Summary
Responsible for developing new products for the composite market and/or the company's other key growth areas. Responsible for conducting industry and product trend studies, reporting findings to technology and business managers, and working with R&D group to define and successfully create new products.

Essential Functions
* Lead and manage the product development process from concept to commercialization.
* Collaborate cross-functional teams including R&D, marketing, and manufacturing to ensure successful product launches.
* Key part of a team that develops chemistry formulations for various applications.
* Ensure all activities are in line with Safety & Health principles. Pro-actively support safe working environment and assess all potential hazards.
* Demonstrated strong technical writing skills, complies project reports results and communicates and presents recommendations.
* Develops with guidance, products adhering to customer specifications, quality, and operational goals and standards.
* Actively participates in materials formulations and testing to facilitate lab feasibility to scale up to production, Lead and participate in manufacturing trials.
* Contributes to product platform development through application of statistical experimental design, product testing, and data analysis.
* Understanding of both inorganic and organic chemistry; Chemistry lab experience required
* Supports marketing and sales through development of product and application data.
* Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
* A bachelor's degree in chemistry, or a closely related field is required. A Master's of PhD. degree is preferred.
* Experience and knowledge with polymer chemistry and composite materials.
* Experience with both inorganic and organic chemistry preferred.
* Chemistry lab experience and chemical handling is required.
* 5-10 years of relevant technical experiences is required.

* Must demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
* Must have excellent research, technical writing, and analytical skills.
* Must be able to drive engagement and work across multiple functions within the organization.
* Must be able to demonstrate situational adaptability and resiliency in obtaining results.
* Must be able to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to use Microsoft Office Products.

Physical Demands
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
* Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally handle up to 50 pounds.
* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
* Requires use of safety equipment as dictated by work area.
* Work is inside and typical noise level fluctuates from moderate to loud.
* Repetitively exposed to moving mechanical parts or airborne particles.
* Occasionally exposed to vibration. May occasionally perform tasks involving toxic or caustic chemicals, and operate instruments that pose a risk of electrical shock.
