The Office of Research Sponsored Research Services (SRS) Accounting department supports the research enterprise for the University by being a resource for the research community. The department works with various departments across the University to answer any regulatory questions concerning awards and assist with audits. SRS Accounting establishes grant accounts in the accounting system which ensures the University is reimbursed for the allowable costs applied to these awards and prepares all financial reports for grants and closes out the accounts once they have ended. SRS Accounting department is hiring two (2) Sponsored Research Accountant 1 candidates. These positions oversee assigned accounts to ensure compliance with grant terms and conditions, funding agency regulations, and Uniform Guidance. The successful candidate will possess the ability to multi-task, logically work through problems, reprioritize workload when needed, have excellent interpersonal skills, as well as excellent verbal/written communication skills, and provide knowledgeable courteous advice and service to customers. Accuracy in data entry and attention to detail are a must in this position. This position offers a remote work option. Essential Functions
