Riverside Medical Group, part of the Optum family of business, is seeking a patient-centric Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to join our team in Bayonne, New Jersey.

Position Highlights:



  • Physician-led, patient centered team-based environment.
  • Providing full spectrum Family/Internal Medicine & Adult Primary Care, focusing on value-based care, and supported by a robust team of specialists.

    • Full-time; Work-Life Balance; Flexible Scheduling (option to work 8s or 12s)
    • Local office hours are:

      • Mon, Tues, Weds, & Friday: 8:00am - 8:00pm, Thursday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM; and
      • Saturday: 8:00am - 2:00pm.

        • Please note: We are looking for flexibility in working 2 Saturdays a month that will offset the weekday schedule.
        • You will not exceed 40 hours a week.

Primary Responsibilities



  • Direct and manage a complete continuum of high-quality care within the care team.
  • Treat chronic diseases and disorders.
  • Reviews patient file/record, including allergies, problems, medications, and immunization status.
  • Elicits and records information about patients' medical history.
  • Orders or executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient's condition.
  • Analyzes reports and findings of tests and examination and diagnoses condition of patient.
  • Oversee and provides collaborative support to Advanced Practice Clinicians.

Required Qualifications:



  • Unrestricted medical license in the State of New Jersey or has New Jersey medical license application in process.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine and/or Internal Medicine.
  • Active and unrestricted DEA License (or ability to obtain prior to start).
  • Active New Jersey CDS license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain prior to start).
  • Bilingual Spanish language skills highly preferred (but not required).



The salary range for this role is $229,500 to $378,000 annually based on full-time employment. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
