The IT Finance Analyst partners with IT Leadership to maintain financial integrity and compliance across our accounting and compliance processes. Responsibilities include maintaining budget files and systems, coordinating, and leading monthly accounting activities and deliverables.

Responsibilities

Budgeting and Forecasting

    • Lead the annual IT department budget development and quarterly forecasts in partnership with IT Leadership.
    • Conduct financial analysis and reporting for operating budgets and technology projects.
    • Monitor and report on IT spend through various channels to IT Leadership.
    • Partner with Corporate Finance and Accounting to ensure alignment.

Accounting and Asset Management

    • Lead month-end accounting close process for IT, including preparing and submitting IT accruals and variance explanations.
    • Code invoices, update supporting spreadsheets and systems, and create purchase requisitions.
    • Manage IT asset reviews and work with IT Leadership to create and receive IT fixed assets.
    • Define and implement standard processes and templates for project budget development and tracking.
    • Manage project accounting activities to track both operating and capital expenditures against budget.

Process Improvement and Compliance

    • Identify process inefficiencies, develop, and implement solutions to eliminate or minimize inefficiencies.
    • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.


Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • Associate degree in accounting and (5) years' experience in (General Accounting/Finance/Audit) - or -
  • Bachelor's degree in (Accounting or Finance), or related field and (3) years' of experience in (General Accounting/Finance/Audit) (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience and skills with General Accounting or Finance.
    • Knowledge base and experience working for a publicly traded company or financial institution (preferred)
  • Advance knowledge of MS Excel, (required)
    • Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP function
  • Working knowledge of MS productivity tools (Word, Power Point, Teams) experience (preferred)
    • Creation of documents and power points
    • Daily usage of Teams
  • Experience with cloud-based enterprise accounting software (Preferred: PeopleSoft and OneStream)
