As a Senior Software Licensing Consultant, you will deliver professional consulting services to Flexera Software's clients and partners, with a primary focus on software asset management (SAM), licensing analysis, and the building and optimization of software license positions. A key part of this role involves hands-on work with Flexera's ITAM solutions-primarily Flexera One and FlexNet Manager Suite-including configuration, troubleshooting, and tailoring the tools to customer needs. You'll also guide customers in best practices, deliver training, and help drive success through deep Flexera platform expertise.

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) and licensing, including entitlement baselining and Effective License Position (ELP) creation within the Flexera solution set
  • Expertise in interpreting license agreements, entitlements, EULAs, and vendor-specific use rights
  • Ability to analyze and normalize large sets of complex data
  • Consulting experience working directly with enterprise customers
  • Knowledge of SAM and ITAM process frameworks and best practices
  • Ability to lead customer meetings, trainings, and workshops with clear and professional communication
  • Ability to work across multiple concurrent projects while maintaining quality and timeliness
  • Experience managing project scope, identifying and resolving issues proactively
  • Ability to assemble and deliver technical and executive-level presentations on completed license positions
  • Thorough understanding of various vendor license models (e.g., Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, SAP, Adobe, VMware)
  • Knowledge of software deployment, device inventory, and asset management data sources
  • Self-starter capable of driving engagements with minimal oversight

Preferred Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Flexera One ITAM, FlexNet Manager Suite (FNMS), or similar SAM tools
  • Familiarity with publisher entitlement reports and audit documentation
  • Experience delivering consulting or professional services in a billable model
  • Experience delivering remote and in-person technical training sessions
  • Exposure to software audits, vendor negotiations, or license compliance initiatives
  • Basic project management capabilities including scheduling, note taking and scope awareness
  • Ability to work independently and remotely using collaboration tools
