We are seeking an experienced AWS Lead Data Engineer with 10+ years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have abilities in AWS platform and services. This hybrid role provides the chance to work on brand-new projects and promote innovation within our organization. The role necessitates a solid technical background and the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Building optimizing Data LakeHouse with Open Table formats
• Kubernetes deployments and cluster administration
• Transitioning on premise big data platforms to scalable cloud-based platforms like AWS
• Distributed Systems Microservice architecture and containers
• Cloud Streaming use cases in Big Data Ecosystems e.g EMR EKS Hadoop Spark Hudi Kafka Kinesis
• Key technology abilities in AWS platform and services
• Must have experience with similar platform engineering/management solutions, Building/optimizing Data LakeHouse with Open Table formats
• Kubernetes deployments/cluster administration
• Transitioning on-premise big data platforms to scalable cloud-based platforms like AWS
• Distributed Systems, Microservice architecture, and containers
• Cloud Streaming use cases in Big Data Ecosystems (e.g., EMR, EKS, Hadoop, Spark, Hudi, Kafka/Kinesis)

• 10+ years in an IT related role
• Must have hands-on experience with, Git Hib and Git Hub Actions
• Good experience with AWS - IAM, API Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions, Lake Formation, Glue (Catalog, ETL, Crawler), Athena, S3 (Strong foundational concepts like object data store vs block data store, encryption/decryption, storage tiers etc)
• Good hands on experience using Python
• Skilled in EKS & Kubernetes, Apache Hudi, Flink, PostgreSQL and SQL, RDS
• Java background
• Terraform Enterprise
• Helpful tech stack experience would include, Helm, Kafka and Kafka Schema Registry, AWS Services: CloudTrail, SNS, SQS, CloudWatch, Aurora, EMR, Redshift, Iceberg, Vault, AWS Secrets manager

The annual salary for this position is between $81,000- $156,000 USD depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
