Work environment (includes travel/on-call): This position works in the kitchen where food is prepared and served. This role is subject to standing for long periods of time and must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The noise level in the work environment can be moderately loud. Kitchens are usually crowded and filled with potential dangers, such as hot ovens or slippery floors. Kitchen staff must reduce risk by proper PPE. Gloves, long-sleeve shirts, aprons, and non-slip shoes to reduce the hazards of slips, falls, cuts, and burns. Physical demands: This position may be required to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy loads and working in cold environments. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
